CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA!

Beginning in September hundreds of people entered the Bingham Memorial Hospital Gastric Band Giveaway. Of those entries, Dr. Anthony Davis narrowed them down to just 10 finalists.

Then it was up to you. Over the last couple of weeks, almost 5,000 people voted on who they thought should win the gastric band.

The overwhelming majority of voters chose Contestant #7 as our winner. Here is Amanda's story: I'm 28 years old, 5' 8", and weigh 355 pounds. I have been battling obesity since age 6, suffered 3 mini strokes, and I have been diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension due to obesity. This surgery could be a life changing event that saves my life.

This will truly be a life changing, and saving event for Amanda.
