Stephen Marano, M.D.
As early as high school, Dr. Marano knew he wanted to become a doctor. He later chose to become a Neurosurgeon, because this area of medicine fascinated him and provided him with challenging cases.
Dr. Marano graduated from State University of New York and went on to do his residency at Barrow Neurological Institute through St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix AZ. He also completed a fellowship with Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. Dr. Marano is a member of the American Medical Association, the Idaho Medical Association, the Idaho Falls Medical Society, and the American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Marano takes the extra time needed to really listen to his patients and has over twenty years of experience, which helps him in handling difficult cases. One such case occurred when a paralyzed gentleman was brought into the ER he was visiting. Dr. Marano immediately placed traction on the man's neck and restored his ability to walk again.
Dr. Marano and his wife moved to the west for its open space and laid-back environment. They have three beautiful girls. He enjoys hiking, snowmobiling, and has recently taken up hunting
