Travis Evans, FNP was born and raised here in Blackfoot. He attended the University of Utah where he earned a degree in Business Management. After graduation, Travis started working as a banker, but dreamed of a career that gave him the rewarding feeling you obtain from helping others. Travis then returned to college at Idaho State University to become a Registered Nurse. He worked as a registered nurse in the Bingham Memorial Hospital ER before earning his Family Nurse Practitioner FNP degree at Idaho State University.
In 2011, Travis moved to Oregon where he worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner, but quickly returned to Bingham Memorial Hospital. “I had worked at Bingham Memorial Hospital before and knew that it was a great healthcare facility. There is a small town, personal feeling you can’t get anywhere else,” says Travis. Travis currently offers family medicine and urgent care services, working at the Idaho Physician’s Clinic and 1st Choice Urgent Care.
Patients who see Travis say he is very caring and has a good bedside manner. Travis likes to focus on preventative care and emphasizes that it is important and possible to maintain good health when you know what your body needs. He offers preventative care for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other damaging diseases.
Travis and his wife are both natives to the Blackfoot area and have 5 children. They enjoy camping, fishing, water skiing, and anything that allows them to be in the outdoors.
