Darryl Cook, M.D.
Dr. Darryl Cook is a board-certified Gastroenterologist with over 24 years of experience.
Dr. Cook achieved his goal of always wanting to become a doctor when he finished medical schooling at the University of Utah College of Medicine. He then completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Since finishing school, Dr. Cook has been practicing medicine in Quincy, Illinois and Pocatello.
During his medical studies, Dr. Cook performed research in liver disease and is very experienced in treating patients with this illness. When his patients visit him for gastrointestinal or abdominal complaints, they find that he always does what is best for them and provides personalized, compassionate care. Dr. Cook diagnoses and treats liver disease, pancreatic disorders and cancer, chronic diarrhea, bleeding from the gastrointestinal track, and more.
Dr. Cook also encourages individuals who are 50 years or older to get a colonoscopy screening for early detection of colon cancer as well as other gastrointestinal issues. It is important for patients with a family history of these diseases to receive a screening at an even earlier age.
Dr. Cook is married with five grown children and ten grandchildren. His outdoor interests include horses, skiing, tennis, and cycling.
