Dr. Sauerwein graduated from Phillipps University of Margurg Germany. He did his internship/residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He then went on to do his neuro-urology fellowship with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He practices medicine with a thorough understanding of science and enjoys the diversity of procedures and treatments available in his field. Dr. Sauerwein provides high quality healthcare with special interest in incontinence, prostate problems, cancer, erectile dysfunction, and helping paraplegic patients.

He speaks fluent German, English, and some French.

Dr. Sauerwein was born in Marburg/Lahn Germany and holds dual citizenship with Germany and the U.S. He is married and has two young boys and family still in Germany. He enjoys skiing and playing soccer with his sons.
