"With fall and flu season officially underway, free flu shots will be available at the open house."

New Healthcare Provider Open House & Free Flu Shots

We will be holding an open house in honor of the 21 new healthcare providers that we’ve welcomed to our medical staff this year. And, you’re invited!

Thursday, October 27

6 pm to 8 pm

Bingham Memorial Medical Plaza

98 Poplar Str., Blackfoot

“We invite the community to attend this fun, free open house, which will be a great opportunity to meet and celebrate the world-class physicians and exceptional healthcare providers who have joined us this year,” says Jeff Daniels, CEO at BMH. “They will continue to help Bingham Memorial provide high-quality medical care in a caring and compassionate manner.”

The open house will be an opportunity for the community to learn about the services and procedures the new healthcare providers offer. We have recruited leading specialists to the region in the areas of bariatric and general surgery, counseling & mental health, family and sports medicine, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedic spine surgery, pediatrics, and pulmonology.

With fall and the flu season officially underway, free flu shots will be available at the open house. There will be great food and door prizes, and to help entertain the kids while parents talk with physicians, there will be a Fall Carnival with face painters, balloon artists, trick-or-treating, and food items specially for kids.

You may not realize how big of an impact you can have just by getting a flu shot. Getting vaccinated is not just about you. It’s about the hundreds of people you come in contact with on a regular basis as well. The more protected you are against the flu, the more protected the public is as well. The more people who get a flu shot, the better chance everyone in our area has of not getting sick this year.

Everyone should get a flu shot, but the following people are especially encouraged:

  • Anyone suffering from chronic lung or heart disease
  • Children under 5 especially those between the ages of 6 months and 2 years old
  • Healthcare workers
  • Household contacts and caregivers of children under the age of 6 months, including breastfeeding women
  • People who live in extended-care facilities or nursing homes
  • Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant during flu season

If you are unable to attend our open house, all of Bingham Memorial’s physician’s offices have received flu shots, including 1st Choice Urgent Care. They are covered by most insurance policies or the cash pay price is $20.
