Pediatric Therapy Services
The Bingham Memorial Hospital Pediatric Therapy Center is a multidisciplinary rehabilitation center for newborns to those up to 21 years old. As a team of trained therapists, we are able to coordinate all treatments in one facility and work together to develop a comprehensive program to meet the individual needs of each a child, teenager, or young adult.
Our vision is to help children regain or develop functional abilities to keep them as safe and independent as possible. In order to do so, our services include the following:
A child’s primary occupation is “play,” which is essential to healthy neurological development. Our occupational therapist is a developmental specialist who helps a child to improve his/her strength, coordination, and skills necessary for daily tasks such as feeding, playing, self-care, sensory integration, and developmental motor milestones.
Speech and Language Therapy
Our speech and language therapy consists of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services for children with communication and swallowing disorders.
Pediatric physical therapy focuses on helping children improve gross motor coordination and neuromuscular or musculoskeletal issues. Our physical therapists evaluate and treat disorders that affect a child’s strength, flexibility, neurological function, and ability to move about in the environment.
