BLACKFOOT, ID -OCTOBER 11, 2016 - Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH) will be holding an open house in honor of the 21 new healthcare providers they have welcomed to their medical staff this year. This event, open to the public, will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Bingham Memorial Medical Plaza, 98 Poplar St., Blackfoot, ID.

With fall and the flu season officially underway, free flu shots will be available at the open house. There will be great food and door prizes, and to help entertain the kids while parents talk with physicians, there will be a Fall Carnival with face painters, balloon artists, trick-or-treating, and food items specially for kids.

The open house will also be an opportunity for the community to become acquainted with Bingham Memorial’s new healthcare providers along with the services and procedures they offer. These new doctors and providers continue to help Bingham Memorial provide high-quality medical care in a caring and compassionate manner.

“As a local, non-profit hospital, our goal is to identify and assemble the most qualified group of physicians in the country for the benefit of our patients,” says Jeff Daniels, CEO of BMH. “We have invested a lot of time and resources to continue bringing world-class specialists to eastern Idaho—from Rexburg to Pocatello.”

Since January, BMH has welcomed 18 new medical providers and three new internal medicine residents to their growing healthcare system. They have brought leading specialists to the region in the areas of bariatric and general surgery, counseling & mental health, family and sports medicine, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedic spine surgery, pediatrics, and pulmonology.

Bingham Memorial’s Weight Loss Center—the region’s only MBSAQIP Accredited - Comprehensive Center—welcomed Tammy Fouse, DO, bariatric & general surgeon, who completed her prestigious fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic. Doran J. Schneider, DO, board-certified general surgeon, has also joined the Bingham Memorial surgical team.

With 30 years of experience, Richard W. Felt, MD, double-board-certified pulmonologist and internal medicine specialist, has joined the BMH medical staff. To enhance their mental health & counseling services, BMH has hired a board-certified Counselor, Suzanne Godfrey, LCPC, NCC. She has a background in psychology and marital, couple, and family counseling, and has helped clients of all ages struggling with a range of issues. She is a strengths-based and gender-informed counselor who focuses on cultivating wellness, personal empowerment, and happiness in her clients.

BMH is also fortunate to have Bradley J Anderson, MD, ophthalmologist, on their team who now sees patients in Blackfoot and Pocatello. He treats patients with eye diseases like cataracts and glaucoma, and is one of the few ophthalmologists in eastern Idaho who performs LASIK eye surgery using the latest advances in technology.
