March 8, 2016 — Nearly 30 percent of American adults have prediabetes, but most don’t know it, according to recent research. This could be because symptoms often go unnoticed or emerge slowly over time.
A recent study found that 58 percent of individuals with prediabetes were able to delay or prevent a diabetes diagnosis by achieving a 5 to 10 percent weight loss through healthy eating and 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day.
