Bingham Memorial Hospital is committed to improving the health and wellness of our community. Each month we offer classes for free or discounted fees that provide fun and learning in a variety of personal improvement areas for groups of individuals. Some of these include: health screenings, events, and access to several support groups.
Below is a list of the classes currently being offered at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
In this classroom-based course, providers enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies, while earning their American Heart Association ACLS (AHA ACLS) for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card.
This is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies.
This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR, and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Click here for more information or to register.
The Heartsaver CPR AED course is designed to prepare students to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely and effective manner.
American Heart Association Basic life support (BLS) is a level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. Click here for more information or to register.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics.
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action. This class is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
