Sue Goodman Named as 2016 BMH Employee of the Year

Dec 09, 2016Press Releases

BLACKFOOT, Idaho – December 8, 2016 Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH) is pleased to announce that Sue Hogsett Goodman has been named Employee of the Year for 2016. All Bingham Memorial employees had the opportunity to nominate someone for this honor. This year, Sue’s peers chose her because they greatly respect her, and she is always happy to help out, making sure all of BMHs patients and guests are taken care of and are directed in a kind manner.

Sue has been a full-time employee at BMH for nearly 14 years, working in several different capacities. Today, she’s a beacon of light and hope at the front desk in admissions, warmly greeting patients and guests as they enter the hospital.

When asked how Sue felt about being nominated as BMHs Employee of the Year, she said, “I am very honored and surprised with the award! My job and all of the employees and patients mean so very, very much to me. I would like to thank everyone so much for the honor.”

“There were an overwhelming number of nominations from people [BMH employees],” said Tara Preston, Director of HR at BMH. “Everyone greatly appreciates what Sue does for us.” Here are some comments about Sue from BMHs employees:

“Sue embodies the spirit of love and compassion that we strive for at BMH. She can always been seen taking time with each patient, helping them to feel welcome. She helps alleviate some of the anxiety that people may be experiencing when they enter the hospital.”

“Sue is the epitome of customer service, and she always goes way above what is expected of her. She’s always willing to help with projects, even if it isn’t her job to do them. The world needs more kind hearts like Sue.”

“Thank you, Sue, for going above and beyond to greet everyone who enters BMH with a friendly hello and warm smile,” said Jeff Daniels, CEO of BMH. “Sue brings joy to everyone’s day who comes in contact with her. Thank you for championing our mission by delivering an exceptional patient experience with every single person you serve, and for creating a lasting example for all of our employees on a daily basis.”

Sue is a pillar of the community and adored by many throughout eastern Idaho. If you haven’t had the opportunity to meet or congratulate Sue on becoming Employee of the Year, please feel free to stop by and visit her at BMH.
