Heather Curtis, MD

We are pleased to introduce Heather R. Curtis, MD, psychiatrist. She is a dedicated mental health provider devoted to empowering her patients to live happier and healthier lives.

Dr. Curtis works with patients of all ages suffering from addiction, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health challenges. In addition, she focuses on the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and emotional disorders in the elderly. Dr. Curtis improves the quality of life for her patients by providing solutions to the problems they may be facing, such as dementia, depression, and other emotional problems.

She believes that therapy and behavior modification are important interventions. During her training she studied and pursued advanced specialization in traumatology, global mental health, and complementary medicine practices including yoga and meditation. Her practice of psychiatry incorporates a patient-centered approach integrating evidence-based medicine and psychotherapy within a trauma informed model.

Dr. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Public Health from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University of Utah Psychiatry Residency Training Program.

When Dr. Curtis is not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with family, practicing yoga, listening to music, reading books, and listening to podcasts. She enjoys travel and attending destination trainings abroad that support her personal growth and that of her patients.
