We are pleased to have Dr. Leslie Benny, internal medicine specialist, on our medical staff.

Dr. Benny specializes in the treatment of illnesses that don’t just go away, but require regular management. For example, he works with patients to treat many of the chronic conditions today’s adults face, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and chronic pulmonary disease. In addition, he treats patients with asthma/respiratory disorders, high cholesterol, hypertension, and sleep apnea.

Dr. Benny graduated from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Prior to medical school, he received his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He completed his residency in internal medicine with the Bingham Internal Medicine Residency program at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, Idaho, where he was chief resident.

Born in India, Dr. Benny and his family lived in New York for six years prior to relocating to sunny Florida. He has fond memories of his youth, especially spending time with his older brothers playing video games and basketball. Today, Dr. Benny has many hobbies, including reading, drawing, watching movies, and being active in his local church.
